Associate Vice President, Human Resources

CWU is seeking a visionary leader who empowers teams across the university and can effectively navigate changing business and people needs while exemplifying a commitment to and appreciation for diversity and multicultural values. The AVP HR is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a fully integrated human resources strategy for the university. This role has an administrative oversight for all aspects of the human resource function.

Assistant to the President and Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Research and Planning

Working collaboratively with constituents across the University, the Executive Director provides oversight for the effectiveness of the institution, including the University’s vision, mission, and strategic plan development and reporting and the University’s regional accreditation reporting and continuous improvement process. The Executive Director partners with Information Services to develop strong data systems to provide a foundation for reliable data reporting and a culture of data-informed decision-making and is responsible for a variety of institution research initiatives, including developing predictive and comparative analytics for institutional planning and key performance indicators.

Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff manages special projects for the president and provides confidential consultation. Chief of Staff organizes the work of the President’s office, the Executive Leadership Team and the University Policy Advisory Committee; manages the Office of the President; leads community, state, and federal government relations. Additionally, as appointed by the Board of Trustees (BOT), the individual fills the role of Secretary to the BOT, coordinates development of meeting content and scheduling, board communications, and, in collaboration with the Office of the Governor, board appointments.
