Introducing the Diversity Advocate Program!
What is the Diversity Advocate Program?
The Diversity Advocate Program was created through a partnership involving the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity and HR's Talent Acquisition Team to:
- develop a community of practice in the recruitment and hiring process.
- establish diversity advocates who will serve on search committees outside of their department.
- adhere to the procedure CWUR 3-40-140 Recruitment, Retention, and Hiring.
-
All Tenure Faculty and Director level and above searches should have a diversity advocate.
-
Email the Diversity Advocate and Outreach Specialist, andria.keirn@cwu.edu, as early as possible to request a diversity advocate for a search. After your request has been submitted via email, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity will begin the process of identifying a diversity advocate.
