This first year as a CWU student and campus resident is also the first year for most living away from family and friends back home. As the newness is wearing off, it can be helpful to develop skills for the different relationships in your life that will inevitably face changes and pose problems that are challenging to confront. Spend time talking through possible areas of conflict, consider how to handle them, and plan for how to best use the "relationship rules" you've grown up with to your advantage while respecting those of others.
