History Dept. 2013 CAH Award Winners

May 14. Last night at the College of Arts and Humanities annual awards banquet the history department was well-represented among winners.

History department award winners:

  • Karen Blair, professor and department chair, Outstanding Faculty Service Award
  • Brian Carroll, assistant professor, Outstanding Faculty Research Award
  • Danielle Kuehn, M.A. candidate, Outstanding Graduate Student Scholarship Award
  • Elise Holbrook-Bruns, undergraduate, Raymond Smith Award for Scholarship


Professor Daniel Herman was also recognized for recently being named CWU Distinguished Professor of Research, and Brian Carroll also received the College of Arts and Humanities Summer Research and Creativity Grant.  Filmmaker and history department alum Brian Pugnetti (Class of '74) received a CAH Distinguished Alumni Award.  Several history professors, Roxanne Easley and Brian Carroll, also presented awards.

All-in-all not a bad night for history and make room on the trophy shelves!  Congratulations to all our winners!
