CAH Third Thursday Thinks Series Continues At The Iron Horse Brewery - January 19, 2017

CAH Presents, Third Thursday Thinks at the Iron Horse
Beer  Choir, hosted by Gary Weidenaar, CWU Music Department

January 19th, 7pm
Iron Horse Brew Pub, 412 N. Main, Ellensburg

Groups of people with similar interests/backgrounds singing together is not a new idea.  In parts of Wales, there are coal miners choruses, and police choirs.  In Washington, the Boeing employees choir has been in existence in Seattle for decades. The Beer Choir is an idea first tried out in 2015 in St. Louis.  There are now 10 chapters - including one in the tri-cities in Washington.  The concept is that singing goes well with beer.   That singing should be possible for anyone to do.  That a "beer choir" is most of all - fun!

Songs from the "beer choir hymnal" will be provided.

Don't sing well?  Not to worry - if you are willing to sing, - as the popular bible verse states:  Make a joyful NOISE (not make a cultured, musical sound).  Don't read music?  No problem.  You don't need to.
