This ONLINE degree prepares professionals holding a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (or equivalent) for the American College for Sports Medicine Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP®) exam.
The American College for Sports Medicine (ACSM) offers the certification for a “Clinical Exercise Physiologist ® (ACSM-CEP®). This ACSM certificate requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (or equivalent) and 1200 hours of documented clinical experience, or a master’s degree in Exercise Science (or equivalent) and 600 hours of documented clinical experience. Our online program will prepare students with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science for the ACSM-CEP ® exam. Additionally, this graduate certificate allows you to fasttrack into the Integrative Human Physiology Master’s program and to finish with a Master of Science after just one additional year.
Our online IHP-CEP certificate offers a modular structure that will provide multiple options for students with a BS degree in Exercise Science (or equivalent field) to qualify for the ACSM-CEP ® certification. IHP-CEP students can simply complete the program as proposed to qualify for the ACSM-CEP ® certification, Or, IHP-CEP students can decide to cross over into the IHP Master’s program after spring quarter, earn the MS IHP degree in just one additional year and still qualify for the ACSM-CEP ® certification.
