Jennifer Lipton holds degrees in geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Texas at Austin. Her doctoral fieldwork took place in the high Andes Mountains of central Peru, where she investigated cultural ecologies among several valley populations of Quechua speakers near Huascaran National Park. She now regularly teaches both introductory and upper-division geography courses, including World Regional Geography, Natural Resource Conservation, Remote Sensing, and Latin America; along with Environmental Studies courses.
