Our vision is that all students, especially those from low-income and/or first-generation backgrounds, are academically, socially, and financially prepared to enter and successfully complete the postsecondary program of their choice.

We seek to build up and support the capacity of communities and school districts to ensure that underserved students have the opportunity, skills, and knowledge to successfully pursue the education and training that will enable them to achieve their career, academic, and life goals.

Diversity Statement

CWU GEAR UP values diversity as it creates opportunities for people to engage, understand and respect others whose perspectives, beliefs, traditions, and world views may be different from their own, each having been shaped by individual experiences and backgrounds.
