Executive Director

Greetings, My name is Manuel Rodriguez, and I have the honor of serving as Executive Director for the Game On! Program at Central Washington University. It is very rewarding to work with middle and high school students through this youth innovation and leadership development approach on a daily basis. In addition, CWU students and colleagues, as well as our program partners Real Madrid Foundation and Microsoft Corporation, and other program supporters are fully dedicated to providing a unique, hands-on, and life changing experience to our student participants. I look forward to sharing student successes as we continue to provide meaningful opportunities and our students.

Domingo Alcala

Program Coordinator

Hola, my name is Domingo Alcala and I am currently the Program Coordinator for Central Washington University’s Game On! Program. Some of my responsibilities include the development, implementation, coordination, facilitation and delivery of the CWU Game On! soccer curriculum as required by the Real Madrid Foundation. Growing up I attended and graduated from Toppenish School District. I also grew up playing football (soccer) since the age of 4 years old. I was the first in my family to graduate from a four-year university and went on to earn a Masters degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. My personal and educational experiences have brought me back home and through Game On! I am able instill in our youth that higher education is attainable and teach them leadership skills and core values.

Osvaldo Sanchez Velasco

I am a transfer student from South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, Washington, studying electrical engineering technology and computer science. I am currently a programmer/community liaison for the Game On! Program and I help facilitate sessions and create lessons for students involved with the program.

Adilene Gil

Programmer/Community Liaison

Hello everyone, my name is Adilene Gil. I am a first generation student here at Central Washington University and I am currently in my second year. I graduated from Toppenish High School and my intended major is business management with a double minor in accounting and Spanish. One of my goals after college is to open up my own clothing boutique and later on sell my own clothing brand.

Luis Fernandez

Programmer/Community Liaison

Hello everyone, my name is Luis Fernandez. I am currently a junior at Central Washington University. I am from Brewster Washington, a very small agriculture town. A fun fact I like telling everyone is that my graduating class was only 45 students. That’s how small Brewster is. I come from a humble, hardworking Hispanic family that showed me that my education is very important and that no matter what obstacles I face in the future, my education will always help me get through it. My goal here at Central is to get my bachelor’s degree in special education with a minor in early childhood education. I want to become a Special Education Teacher because my teachers and family inspired me, that everyone is intelligent, but it takes different paths and ways of learning to reach the potential of students and not everyone will learn the same. I enjoy helping others and my job here at Game On! is to help develop, coordinate, mentor, and facilitate coding sessions as well as soccer sessions. I look forward to sharing my college experience and continuing to inspire the younger generation to do great things in life.
