BNBuilders Provides Veteran Assistance at CWU

ELLENSBURG, Wash.—BNBuilders, in partnership with the United States Marine Corps Support Group of Washington, developed a scholarship at Central Washington University for USMC and Navy veterans that served as medics or religious personnel with the Marines.

The scholarship, called the BNBuilders Veterans Grant, helps supplement the support veterans receive from the Department of Veteran Affairs by awarding a $2,000 scholarship at the start of fall quarter each academic year.

Fall quarter 2019 was the first time the scholarship was awarded and was given to Sergeant Jackson Schorno, a marine sniper scout.

Requirements to become a recipient of this scholarship include being a CWU student that is in good academic standing, demonstrating a financial need, and being a US Marine Corps or Navy veteran that served with the US Marine Corps unit for one year. Preference is given to those pursuing a degree in one of the Engineering Technologies, Safety and Construction degree programs.

BNBuilders is a construction engineering company that has key specialists in all areas of construction, including preconstruction, virtual design, and sustainability. To learn more about them, please visit their website.
