Warning:  air quality levels in Ellensburg is "Very Unhealthy" while Wenatchee is experiencing "Unhealthy" levels. Most of Washington is experiencing degraded air quality due to smoke from wildfires. UPDATE: All I-90 westbound and eastbound lanes are now open near Kittitas.

I-90 is shut down to westbound traffic at MP 118, three miles east of Kittitas. There is no estimated time to reopen the interstate. A brush fire is burning in the median and on the westside of the highway.  More information to come once it's made available. Source: Washington State Patrol

All lanes of westbound I-90 between milepost 81 and 83, near Cle Elum, are now open. A brush fire yesterday evening had restricted traffic to one lane. Source: Washington State Patrol

A vehicle caused a brush fire near Cle Elum. The Lower Cle Elum River Fire started on I-90 at Mile Post 81 and is estimated at eight acres. I-90 Westbound traffic is limited to one lane. Expect delays. Source: Washington State Patrol

Areas of Moderate (yellow dots) air quality levels have been measured in northern and eastern Washington due to fires in Siberia, BC and Oregon. Ellensburg and the majority of the state currently have no major smoke impacts and the air quality is Good (green dots).
