The Wine Trade Professional Certificate Program is a ten week intensive, professional development program. The Wine Trade Professional Certificate is taught on the Central Washington University campus in Ellensburg Fall quarter. Completion of the certificate program prepares students for a variety of careers in the wine industry. Below is an outline of the curriculum.

The CWU Wine Trade Professional Certificate Program is designed for individuals seeking a profession in the wine industry. The program is also designed for individuals currently in the wine industry wishing to advance their careers. Participants must be able to attend all sessions and will be expected to put in a considerable amount of time on projects and assignments.
The total number of applicants admitted may be limited. The following requirements must be met:

Students must fill out an application that includes an essay of motivation and goals. Upon approval of the application, an in-person or telephone interview will be conducted between the program advisor and the student. Upon admittance to the program students must agree to sign a written statement regarding professional conduct and responsibility. Students must be 19 years prior to the first day of class.

Normal tuition applies to GWT courses however additional fees are required for field trips and wine analysis. The courses are eligible for student financial aid for matriculated CWU students.
