Short Bio
Jill Perillo Clark is a Sommelier and a proud Central Washington University Alumni, earning both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from CWU. Jill also offers more than 15 years of experience working within our local wine industry.
Jill’s professional background includes industry experience on all sides of the 3-tier distribution system. Including positions held at Chateau Ste. Michelle - the Northwest’s largest and most acclaimed winery. Additionally, Jill’s industry experience includes winery event management, On/Off Premise wine sales, and purchasing for two of the Northwest’s largest food retailers: Haggen Food and Pharmacy and Kroger/QFC.
In addition, Jill has also worked as a writer, publishing articles focused on food, wine, and tourism for Washington Tasting room magazine, Mid-Columbian, and Inland NW. Jill has also volunteered her time to many wine judging events including the Great Northwest Wine competition, Cascadia Wine Competition, and the Seattle Times tasting panel.
Jill is also a certified Career and Technical educator, and contributes to the Career and Technical Education Teacher Certification program at Central Washington University, as well as, the GPIDEA - a consortium of renowned public universities from across the United States, offering degree and certificate programs in human services and agriculture.
In all of her courses, Jill strives to include her passion for sustainable practices and social responsibility and has spoken on the topic of sustainability at various regional events. In addition to her wine-related hobbies, Jill enjoys cooking and time spent with her family. Jill loves to stay active and is an avid walker and gardener, her other hobbies include beekeeping, paddleboarding, hiking, and reading.
