Professor Garrison is the author of many books of poetry and creative non-fiction. He is the founder and President of the APOYO Food Bank, located on Central's campus near Brooklane Village. He is an emeritus professor of English, having taught at Central for 45 years before his retirement in 2012. His newest collection of essays, What That Pig Said to Jesus, was released for publication in May 2017. He is a recipient of the Associated Writing Programs Creative Nonfiction Award and a Governor's Writer's Award from Washington State. | ||
