Personal Philosophy of Advising:
Hello my name is Jerry Enriquez and I am a proud son of seasonal migrant farmworkers. At an early age, my parents instilled the value of hard work and opportunity for all. They encouraged me to pursue a college education so I could have more opportunities in life than they had. Since then, I have experienced the many benefits of attaining a college education. The most significant benefit is that I can help all students find their way to becoming their best self. In doing so, my approach is a collaborative effort between advisor and student to be actively engaged in their education and ultimately in their future career path. In addition, I take pride in helping students overcome challenges and barriers to realizing a self-determined and fulfilling college and academic experience. My emphasis is on student investment towards personal and professional development throughout the college transition and major/career exploration process, resulting in the transformation of students to their best professional self.

Personal Philosophy of Advising:
As an academic advisor, my aspiration is to help students understand resources here at CWU and feel empowered during their journey in higher education. Everyone has their own goals and definition of success that will become clearer as the student explores the campus. I encourage everyone that enters my office to own their education as well as continue to be lifetime learners through information, relation and concepts.
