Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series proudly presents nonfiction writer W. Scott Olsen. W. Scott Olsen is the author of several books, including At Speed: Traveling the Long Road Between Two Points (University of Nebraska Press, 2006) and Hard Air: Adventures on the Edge of Flying (Bison Books, 2008), a blog called "A Week in a Fire," and is the editor of many anthologies. He is a professor of English at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and is the editor-in-chief of the literary journal Ascent.
The reading will take place in The Museum of Culture and Environment Lobby, Dean Hall from 7:30-8:30 pm. This special event is co-sponsored by the Museum of Culture and Environment as a tie-in to the current exhibit "Where There's Smoke." Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series is sponsored by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of English, The Wildcat Shop and a gift from Karen Gookin.
This event is free and open to the public. The Wildcat Books is featuring books by Scott Olsen and will be selling books at the event.
