The Washington KidWind Challenge will take place at Central Washington University on April 27, 2013. Free to the first 30 teams to register, see link above.
At the KidWind Challenge, students design and construct small-scale wind turbines from scratch. We (PSE) bring our custom-built, portable wind tunnel to the competition - where students teams test their wind turbines to see who can produce the most power! We will have some great cash prizes this year, as well as t-shirts for all participants.
The KidWind Challenge is FREE for students to participate, and open to any students from grade 4 through 12. We will have two seperate divisions for the competition - Middle School (4-8 grade) and High School (9-12 grade). Cash prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each grade division.
