"Through the years he was part of the effort to create a bachelor’s degree program for community college instructors who were already teaching. This was a first for a state four-year institution.
He also helped develop a four-year degree program at Central in industrial and engineering technology (later to become its own department). The degree was specifically designed for men and women headed into professional positions in private industry."
A community reception celebrating Stan Dudley reaching his 100th birthday is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 in the Sue Lombard Dining Hall on campus at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
