Welcome to the College of Education and Professional Studies!

On behalf of the Office of the Dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS), our outstanding faculty and staff, I am delighted to welcome you to CEPS, one of the four academic colleges at Central Washington University (CWU). Whether you are a current or prospective student, parent, employer, alumni, friend, volunteer, or community member, I welcome you to our CEPS community to explore our website or an in-person visit and learn about our exciting happenings and opportunities.

CEPS includes the School of Education, the departments of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS); Health Sciences, Engineering Technologies, Safety, and Construction (ETSC); Information Technology and Administrative Management (ITAM); Education, Development, Teaching, and Learning (EDTL); Sport and Movement Studies (SAMS); Aviation; Curriculum, Supervision, and Educational Leadership (CSEL); and the Air Force and Army ROTC programs.

No matter where you are in your educational journey or how you want to continue, CEPS has programs that match your goals through our offerings at our Ellensburg campus, learning centers, and online and continuing education programs. By joining the CEPS community, you will get an opportunity to work closely with incredible faculty and staff who care deeply about your total success and well-being. CEPS offers 33 undergraduate and 17 graduate degrees through these ten departments. In addition, we offer 46 undergraduate and graduate certificates and 53 minors that will complement and add value to any degree. Explore our programs to find the programs that will prepare you for your life, career, and a wide variety of opportunities following graduation.

We strive to be the college of choice rooted in a culture of active care, respect, trust, inclusion, positivity, collaboration, excellence, and innovation. We continue to foster a community within CEPS that is equitable, provides a sense of belonging, and promotes excellence in student success and engagement, teaching, and research that will draw students, staff, and faculty to the college. This thriving CEPS community will have engaged external constituents, including our alumni and friends of CWU.
