Brian Clarke, pictured above with Provost Michelle DenBeste, was honored as a Distinguished Alumni at the CWU Distinguished Alumni Awards in May 2022

Clarke announced the gift today to support the Brian and Elizabeth Clarke ASSP Student Section Endowment. The endowment supports CWU students and faculty access professional opportunities in the Puget Sound and Portland, OR. regions and materials, supplies, or equipment to enhance ASSP student experiences.

“Brian’s continued support of the College of Education and Professional Studies, Safety and Health Management students and programs is inspirational. He is a leader in the profession as a mentor and an active advocate for the profession and CWU” says Dean Sathyanarayanan Rajendran, PhD.

The contribution is made possible through a Fall Protection class sponsored by GEWllc, 3M, Northwest Scaffolding and IBEW/NECA Portland OR.  Clarke is the Founder of both GEWllc, a Regional Risk Management / Safety Consulting company based in battle Ground, WA., and HEILL Safety Solution, a consulting company based in CA.

This marks Clarke's twelfth year of giving back to Central Washington University. Clarke personally matches all contributions to the endowment from his staff at GEWllc and HEILL, clients who have made contributions as well as various trade associations. Clarke stated “I am grateful to be in a position to support my wife’s and my goal of supporting  the students at CWU Safety Health Management Program.”
