Within this website you’ll find information about the Educational Foundations and Curriculum Department (EFC).  The EFC Department houses the Professional Education Program (PEP), Field Experiences, the Instructional Foundations undergraduate degree, and the Master Teacher Graduate Program.

  • The Professional Education Program (PEP) is a 50 credit program of classes required for all students who wish to become certified teachers.
  • Field Experiences provides placement and supervision during the field experience class and student teaching.
  • The Instructional Foundations degree is designed for students who wish to have a background in instructional pedagogy, but not complete all the requirements for teacher certification.
  • The Master Teacher Program offers a graduate degree to a certified teacher seeking additional credentials in a focus area of their choice.

Additionally, there are various resources and links for prospective teachers to guide you through the process of becoming a certified teacher within our website.
