Abby joined the Diversity and Equity Center in 2019; she currently provides oversight for all student engagement opportunities within the Diversity and Equity Center and works with colleagues campus wide to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. Within higher education she has worked within residence life, student success coaching and multicultural student services. Her interest areas include multiraciality, access, and implementing inclusive practice frameworks within institutions.

Outside of Central, Abby serves as the Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice Division Representative for the MultiRacial Knowledge Community within Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) and as past chair of the NASPA MultiRacial Knowledge Community.

Verónica Gómez-Vilchis is an Assistant Director in the Diversity and Equity Center at Central Washington University (CWU) and has been dedicated to social justice, equity, and diversity for over 20 years. Her professional career began at CWU in 2003. For the duration of her career at CWU, she has implemented programs and provided leadership in various capacities including School of Education and Human Resources. She has facilitated workshops on topics of cultural competency, preventing sexual harassment, social justice, non-violent communication, and allyship. Verónica has obtained multiple certifications in mediation, leadership development, intergroup dialogue, and workplace investigation. She continues to develop initiatives on equity and social justice with colleagues at CWU and with outside organizations to strive towards forming an environment where minoritized populations can succeed.

Primary contact for the DEC's Training and Education peer-led team and Programs Team. 

Katrina joined Central Washington University in 1997; she currently provides supervision to the Diversity and Equity Center student training and programming teams to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. During her time in higher education, she has focused on equity, inclusion, intergroup dialogue, Non Violent Communication and empower students through personal identity development. Recently, her passion has included understanding mindfulness and its impact on personal development and self-care as well as healing justice.

Michele has worked in education for the past 25 years. She provides office support for the Diversity and Equity Center including assisting with office needs, budgets, scheduling, expenditures and overseeing student office assistants. Michele is committed to helping students be successful in their education!

Having recently graduated from Central Washington University, Eriqua Collins is familiar with the campus. As a student in the School Psychology graduate program, she is passionate about exploring the intersection between the flaws of the education system and its impact on the success of minority students. Within the Diversity and Equity Center, she helps to organize integrative, educational and impactful events that highlight and appreciate multicultural identities on campus.
