Computer Science Instructor
The department of Computer Science, at Central Washington University (Ellensburg, WA), is looking for instructors for several courses for the 2021-2022 academic year. Current needs include graduate level courses in Data Mining (Fall 2021), Scientific Computing (Fall 2021), and Computational Statistics (Winter 2022) and undergraduate course in Artificial Intelligence (Spring 2022). Online teaching option will be considered. Interested candidates should notify Department Chair Martha Kurtz ( and apply through CWU’s Career website (enter Job ID 4022). Graduate Assistantship - Computer Science
The Computer Science Department at Central Washington University has a Graduate Assistantship (GA) available for an incoming Master’s degree candidate student beginning Fall 2021. The GA includes a tuition waiver, stipend, and medical benefits. The GA will assist faculty in the department with course instruction and help staff and open lab for computer science students. GAs are expected to work 20 hours per week during the academic year. Interested students should apply to CWU’s graduate program and complete the Assistantship Application. From basic technological literacy to the development of problem-solving skills, the General Education program will prepare students to understand the ethical and social impact of computing on society and the use of computing technology as they contribute to the modern world.

Through experience, knowledge, and skills ranging from basic theory through experimental techniques to engineering methodology, the Computer Science degree programs will prepare students to be productive citizens who contribute in many ways to the information society that forms the backbone of much of the industry and business in the state of Washington.

Computer Science faculty and students working in partnership with each other and with interdisciplinary colleagues will help address significant local, regional, and national problems through the use of this flexible, robust discipline.
