Do you like to solve complex problems? Are you looking for a degree that will place you in one of the hottest jobs in the country?
Computational science is the field of study that uses computers to analyze and solve scientific problems. More than 750,000 jobs in the United States alone will be created in this sector in the next six years. CWU's computational science master’s program is the first of its kind in the Pacific Northwest.
The heart of CWU's interdisciplinary program is computer-related, but the applications will be studied in the context of a number of scientific domains, including: • biological sciences • environmental sciences • chemistry • computer science • geology • mathematics • physics

8 - Number of research seminar presentations each year. Past topics have included the physics of sound, studying and modeling the behavior of drug resistant proteins, and using Mathematica to model and understand complex mathematical functions.
12 - The current number of active graduate students, who conduct research or are working on projects in many areas, including computer aided analysis of mathematical functions, cryptography, and AI inspired text analysis.
