Climber on the wallTop Rope Tuesdays

Tuesdays from 6PM-8PM

Interested in meeting other climbers? Want to try to make it to the top of the 50 foot wall, but don't have a partner to belay you? Top Rope Tuesdays are designed for both new and experienced climbers to find partners and share their love for the climbing community! Staff will be there to belay people for FREE.

Sept 21st, October 19th, and Nov 16th from 6PM-8PM

The 3rd Friday of every month is Ladies' Night at the CWU Climbing Wall. Meet other women while climbing in a positive atmosphere. Female staff will be working and available to answer any questions. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other women climbers or check out the climbing wall for the first time, in a safe and supportive enviornment.

By private instruction

Come practice clipping bolts or taking whips on lead climbing night! Don't feel comfortable leading yet? Practice mock leading with a top rope back-up or practice lead belaying. Lead climbers will have prioority over top-ropers, and sorry, no bouldering allowed during this time. Expereince leading is required.


PCIA Climbing Wall Instructor Certification Course

Fred Beckey is the legendary American "Dirtbag" mountaineer whose name is spoken in hushed tones around campfires. This rebel climber's pioneering ascents and lifestyle form an iconic legacy that continues to inspire generations. Come join us in watching this documentary and understand who he was while also finding your inner dirtbag!

4 p.m. | Nov 2nd | Recreation Climbing Wall | Early Registration $25 for students | $30 for non-students | Day-of registration is $35

Cranksgiving is back for its annual bouldering competition and halloween costume contest. This all-inclusive and fun public event is available to all experience levels, from beginners to the advanced, and will be a great opportunity for fellow boulderers to show off their skills! There will be prizes for each division of experience as well as prizes for “best costume.” Don’t be spooked by the competition; show up in your most ghoulish get-up. Early registration ends Nov 1st. Come on out, make friends and have fun while bouldering for prizes.
