Addressing and Preventing Discrimination
Central Washington University (CWU) is committed to providing a learning, working, and living environment that promotes personal integrity, civility and mutual respect in an environment free of discrimination.
Discrimination, including harassment and bullying, on the basis of a legally protected characteristic is illegal and prohibited. Inappropriate behavior based on a legally protected characteristic is unacceptable and may be cause for discipline even if it does not rise to the level of illegal discrimination.
CWU has policies, procedures, and resources in place to take immediate and appropriate steps to eliminate discrimination, prevent its recurrence and to remedy the effects.
Any complaints, questions, or concerns regarding discrimination and harassment should be made directly to the Director of Civil Rights Compliance, Thomas Pedersen.
