Career Services

Current Peer Advisors

Hi. My name is Holly Fleshman and I am a junior at CWU. My major is Social Studies/History Education and this is my second year as a Peer Advisor. One of the main things that I love about being a wildcat is the sense of community that I have found. For me, this community has been in the Douglas Honors College where I have really gotten to know my classmates and professors in ways that I never thought I could. This sense of community is widespread and I think all students can find it somewhere on campus if they get involved. The Peer Advising program with Career Services has similarly allowed me to get to know more students on campus and get better acquainted with student services. The main reason I believe that Career Services is amazing is how much it allows me to help out my fellow students and make a difference in their lives even if that is as simple as reviewing a resume or giving a presentation.

My name is Carina Shi. I was born and raised in the diverse city of Beijing, China. Currently I am a junior at Central Washington University pursuing a degree in English. It is my great pleasure to work at Career Services as a peer advisor; I am looking forward to assisting students with resumé, cover letter review, or any other career-related questions. I immerse myself in reading and hiking during free time, which allow me to peek out into this world in fascinating ways.
