WEPA printing kiosks are coming!

Notice Type:
Event Date:
Wed, 06/19/2019 to Fri, 06/21/2019

CWU’s Student Technology Fee Council is bringing a new student printing solution to campus beginning Summer 2019!

This print system will replace the current PaperCut printing application that is currently used on all lab computers.  Over 25 printer kiosks will be installed in most academic building common areas along with the SURC, Library, and 1891 Bistro. There will also be a print station at each of our CWU Lynnwood and Des Moines Centers.

The best feature to this system is that students will be able to print to the Wepa Printer App from anywhere and from any device, instead of trying to find an open lab from which to print their homework. CWU enrolled students will receive a $10 quarterly allocation that is only charged when the print job is released at the kiosk.

Wēpa is convenient
Students want to print from their own devices where they already work and live instead of planning trips to a few locations and hoping things are available.

Wēpa is cost effective
Services are moving to the cloud. Eliminating significant staff hours on the maintenance of a traditional local print management system has proven success at reducing costs and staff headaches.

Wēpa is supported
Wēpa is the front line of support for printing. Wēpa’s US-based tech support team is available by live chat, phone, and email. Every school has a Wēpa Project Manager assigned for day to day communication and to help address issues.

Wēpa is sustainable
All Wēpa printing is offset by reforestation projects through our partnership with PrintReleaf. Optional default two-sided printing and price incentives for two-sided printing save paper.
