Pumpkin Carving Contest
All week • Virtual • Open to CWU students only
CWU students, enter to win a goody bag including a limited edition sticker from CWU Hype and 88.1 The 'Burg! Carve a pumpkin, post a picture of your pumpkin as an Instagram post, tag @cwuhype and @881theburg in your photo (must be a public account). Post by end of day Saturday, October 31, 2020. Ten winners will be randomly drawn and announced for the goody bag prize.

Central Theatre Ensemble Presents: The Tell-Tale Gaze

Monday, October 26

Mindful Monday-Yin Yoga Series
3 p.m. • Recreation Center • Free, CWU students 
Join the Wellness Center’s Sabeth Jackson (RYT 200) and the Recreation Center for a meditative form of movement called Yin Yoga. Yin Yoga incorporates mostly seated postures that are held for longer periods of time, leading to deep stretching, greater awareness of where we are holding tension, and greater awareness of our thoughts. Modifications available. Bring a yoga mat or towel, and a pillow (not required, but helpful in some poses). This class will be limited to the first 15 students.

Voter Registration Phone Bank

Join ASCWU Governmental Affairs, the Washington Student Association, CWU clubs and ESC orgs for a virtual voter registration phone bank. Monday Movie Madness: CLCE Presents Despicable Me

During election season we may often feel like we are holding our breath, trying to find time to check facts, critically analyze rhetoric and then make informed and educated decisions on what is best for our future and the future of our country. As we engage this season, it is just as important to balance our self-care, our need for rest, reflect and recharge. Blood Drive

Lend a hand (or a vein) to help the American Red Cross meet its blood donation needs for Central Washington. Donate from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 28 in Teanaway Hall at the Kittitas Valley Event Center, located at 901 E. 7th Ave. Appointments are required via Presence. If you are sick, please stay home. Masks required. 

Protecting Yourself and Connected Devices

Kellon Benson began IT work at CWU's Help Desk as a student and shortly after became an intern in the Information Security Services department. Soon, Kellon was a full-time security analyst where responsibilities included: digital forensics, network security monitoring, risk assessment and security reviews. Currently, Kellon works on behalf of Atos as a threat hunter for major organizations. This event will be held virtually and to attend the event, please RSVP here. All attendees will have a chance to win a $25 gift card to the CWU Wildcat Shop!

The Tell-Tale Gaze

Join the Central Theatre Ensemble for a unique Poe-themed experience. Watch paintings of Edgar Allen Poe texts come to life through live scenes performed within the frames of McConnell Hall. Tickets must be purchased online at cwu.edu/theatre/current-productions. Face coverings are required. This is an outdoor event, so please dress accordingly.

Volunteer At Halloweek
4-7 p.m. • Parking Lot C-9, across from Kamola Hall  • Free CWU Students
Dress up for Hallowee and volunteer to hand out Halloweek goody bags to kids in this replacement event for Boo Central. Sign up to volunteer via Presence with the CLCE. RSVP at cwu.edu/leadership-engage.

Haunting At Central
7 p.m. - 12 a.m. • Virtual and in-person • Free, CWU students
From 7-9 p.m. play hide and seek outside on the SURC E. Patio. Masks and physical distancing are required for in-person events. From 9 p.m. to midnight complete a virtual escape room or get a virtual caricature done. For more information follow @cwucampusactivities on Instagram.
