Due to COVID-19, this course uses a flipped classroom approach to teaching and learning Tai Chi remotely on Zoom. Students will need a laptop, iPad or other device and internet connection to participate in this course.

At students’ own leisure time before each class, students will have an opportunity to gain first exposure to YouTube video clips of the instructor’s own demonstrations of different Tai Chi sets. These video clips are geared toward the needs of students at different levels of proficiency. Virtual class time will be devoted to answering students’ questions and further practicing with the instructor for improvement. To maximize student-teacher interactive time, there will be two class meetings: 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. for students at proficiency levels 1 and 2 (24-posture sets and 42-posture sets) and 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. for students at proficiency levels 3 and 4 (56-posture set and 66-posture set). All class meetings will be on Thursdays from July 9 through August 20, 2020. Both YouTube links and Zoom meeting invitations will be sent to registered students before the first class. Adults of all ages are welcome.

Come join us remotely, practice indoors or outside, get physically active, beat COVID-19, and stay healthy.
