Study Abroad Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop

Students who receive the federal Pell Grant and who plan to study abroad are invited to attend a workshop on improving the quality and competitiveness of their Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship essays.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by the Institute of International Education, the prestigious and competitive Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program “offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies abroad”, with the stated goal of “better [preparing] U.S. students to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world”.

The workshop will be hosted by the Office of International Studies and Programs and the Writing Center. The session will be from 2 to 3:30 pm in room 401B of the Library on Thursday, January 24.
