Robert Lapen, former Professor of Biological Sciences, dies

Rob Lapen, Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences, died November 29, 2013.  He was a faculty member in Biology 1973-1998.


From The Daily Record – December 4, 2013:

Robert F. Lapen, 77, a retired Professor, of Ellensburg died November 29, 2013 in Seattle. He was born July 17, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY. Robert received his Masters Degree from the University of Idaho and his Ph.D from Washington State University. He married Linda Bertozzi on December 26, 1959. Robert had a career in research and teaching immunology and virology at Washington State University and Central Washington University. In addition to teaching, he had a passion for boating and natural history.
Robert is survived by his wife, Linda Lapen; children, David Ross Lapen and Thomas John (Erica) Lapen; grandchildren, Emily, Ross, William, and Emma.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. Family condolences may be left at
