New: Accessibility Studies Graduate Certificate

The CWU Accessibility Studies Program is launching a new Graduate Certificate in Accessibility Studies. This is a stand-alone certificate of knowledge about accessibility applicable to all public venues and therefore of value to all career fields. The courses can also be used as a specialization within masters degree programs, pending approval by the program.

All the courses are online.  Applications are now open for the first cohort beginning FAll 2020. 

ASP 505 Accessibility & User Experience (4 credits) Fall

ASP 525 Universal Design (5 credits)  Winter

ASP 535 Accessible Information Design (5 credits) Spring

ASP 585 Capstone (3 credits) Spring-Summer

ASP 590 Capstone (Minimum 2 credits but can be more and can be repeated) Any quarter. This can coincide with work or volunteer experiences.

2. Apply to the School of Graduate Studies and Research 

3. Register with the CWU Registrar. (Washington State employee waivers may be used, with some restrictions, so confirm such plans with the registrar.)
