The CWU Museum of Culture and Environment in Dean Hall is open for Spring Quarter! 

Hours are 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday.  Visitation by appointment is also available. 

Admission is always free to all.

 

The MCE is currently hosting four exhibits: 

Check out rarely seen artifacts from the Museum's permanent collection in Sustenance: The Material Culture of Food, which explores foodways from around the world. (In the MCE gallery)

Tell your pandemic story. This Pandemic Year invites visitors to share their experiences and perceptions about the past year, as well as their hopes for the future. (In the MCE gallery)

For the rockhound in your life: Agates: Beautiful and Complex shares some of the more than 300 agates in the MCE's permanent collection and highlights research on the Ellensburg Blue being done at CWU. (In the Window on Central, first floor Dean Hall)

Are you a bystander or an upstander? Choosing to Participate: The Choosing to Participate posters were created by Facing History and Ourselves and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service to encourage dialogue, engagement, respect, and participation in our communities. (Lobby, first floor Dean Hall)

 

The Museum of Culture & Environment is located in Dean Hall on the CWU Campus, 1200 Wildcat Way. Parking behind Dean Hall is free after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and free all day Saturday. Contact us at museum@cwu.edu or 509-963-2313.
