McNair Scholars Program accepting applications

Do you LOVE to conduct RESEARCH? Is GRADUATE SCHOOL on the horizon for you?

We are here to help you get there! The McNair Scholars Program is currently recruiting eligible JUNIORS for FALL 2019, and SOPHOMORES who will be eligible juniors for FALL 2020.


The McNair Scholars Program helps low-income, first-generation college students, and students from groups underrepresented in graduate education, to conduct faculty-mentored research and apply to graduate school.  Benefits include:

Help finding graduate programs;

Help applying to graduate schools;

Graduate school application fee waivers;

Academic support (FREE TUTORING!);

Help preparing for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE PREP!);

Paid undergraduate research experience (STIPENDS!);

Paid opportunities to present research at conferences; and

Social and Professional Networking Support. 


The Department of Education renewed funding for the CWU McNair Scholars Program through 2022.  This $1,161,325 grant will serve approximately 27 students each year for five years.
