The CWU Department of Law and Justice summer “Point of View” series, “Hidden Colors and Rules of Racism,” continues on August 16 with a presentation from guest speaker Tiffany Lamoreaux, an expert is equity, diversity, and inclusion issues.

Tiffany Lamoreaux

Lamoreaux has more than seven years’ experience working in public and non-profit institutions as an anti-racism change agent and educator.

“She works to increase employee engagement and create supportive and empowering environments for staff,” said Christine Henderson, CWU Law and Justice lecturer. “For the past two years, she has served as the Anti-Racism Initiative Manager at Solid Ground.”

The Seattle-based Solid Ground organization’s mission is to to end poverty and undo racism and other oppressions that are held to be root causes of poverty, through a people-centered approach and through the use of social-justice strategies.

Lamoreaux’s presentation will be made via Zoom on Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. It is open to CWU students, friends, family, and the community.

“The goal of the series is to study, learn, collaborate, and develop strategies for change within the law and justice systems that participating students will present at two community awareness events in October and November,” Henderson added.

The series was conceived and developed by students in the Westside/Online Law and Justice Club, including Jannice Cebreros, president; Alexis Sue Graf, vice president; and Veronica Salas, secretary. All three are majoring in law and justice at CWU-Lynnwood.
