Please join Human Resources and the Office of the Provost in celebrating Gail Farmer!  We celebrate her graduation into retirement on June 20 from 4:00 - 6:00 on the rooftop of Science II!

We will miss Gail. She has worked at CWU for twenty years in a variety of roles. She began as a Coordinator in the Wildcat Wellness Center, eventually leading the Center for 10 years. For the last seven years, she has been Manager of Equal Opportunity in Human Resources. At different times she was responsible for talent acquisition, training and development, policy and procedure formation, and complaint investigations. Most recently, Gail has worked as Special Assistant to the Provost, mapping and training on strategies for conflict resolution. Gail prides herself, and has a proven record, on being a collaborative, effective colleague focused on prevention.

Gail is a runner. She has run many 5Ks, 10Ks and half and full-marathons. Her crowning achievement was finishing the Boston Marathon in 2014. She frequently uses her love of running and the admirable community of runners to raise money for worthy causes. In 2014 she ran to raise money for CWU scholarships.  More recently she helped organize a 5K fundraiser for the families of Kittitas County Sheriff Deputy Ryan Thompson and Kittitas Police Officer Benito Chavez on April 6, 2019.

Please join us to celebrate Gail’s transition from CWU to new horizons, her transition from Ellensburg to New Mexico! Come lift a glass to her future and to say thank you!
