During election season we may often feel like we are holding our breath, trying to find time to check facts, critically analysis rhetoric and then make informed and educated decisions on what is best for our futures and the future of our country. As we engage this season it is just as important to balance our self-care, our need for rest, reflect, and recharge.  Join US!  If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at

Who can REALLY vote?

Partition Board in the SURC

Sharing current issues that United States citizens are facing in regard to voting, including voter suppression, how different marginalized groups are affected, and other issues impacting many Americans. It covers felon disenfranchisement, gerrymandering, problems that Native Americans and Indigenous people are facing in North Dakota, the removal of polling sites near people of color, and much more. There is also an interactive section where people can vote daily on arbitrary things (like "Should raisins be in cookies?") and the "winning" choice will get displayed the next day.

Our Friends at the Student Counseling Services are offering a variety of support opportunities for student during the next few weeks as well.

Here’s what they have to say…

The 2020 Election season is one that raises uncertainty and anxiety for students across the political spectrum.  Individual cultural identities and previous experiences can increase feelings of distress, fear, and anger.  Student Counseling Services believes that one's cultural context and socio-political events affects the mental health of us all.  As such, we are offering support spaces before, during, and after election day for students to drop-in and share their thoughts and feelings and receive support from each other as well as our professional staff

For more detailed information please check out their website.

Lastly, ASCWU is doing some wonderful activities and events as well, check them out too!
