CWU’s longstanding University Center partnerships with Highline College (HC) and Edmonds Community College (EdCC) will be acknowledged during meetings on the Ellensburg campus this month.

On Thursday, September 5, HC President John Mosby and several other university officials will visit campus. CWU-Des Moines has been co-located on HC campus since 1981. On Friday, September 13, Charlie Crawford, the executive vice president for instruction, will lead an EdCC delegation to campus. CWU-Lynnwood has been co-located there since 1975.

In each instance, the groups will be welcomed by CWU President James L. Gaudino, who will then meet with college leadership to discuss CWU’s commitment to collaborative efforts and working toward strategic enrollment goals.

The purpose of the visits is to further solidify transfer partnerships—which are an institutional priority for CWU—increase communication between the schools, streamline investment of time and resources, and collaborate on strategic goals.

The day-long visits will include breakout sessions at which partner college goals and needs will be discussed, as will the vision and goals for the new Transfer Center launching at CWU this winter. New partnership opportunities may also be identified.
