CWU Staff and Faculty Tradition Keepers Information

Why are traditions important here at CWU? Traditions bring us together to celebrate our collective university experiences. Traditions can include every aspect of the student, staff, and faculty experiences here at CWU!

The Traditions Keeper books list 91 unique traditions that you can be a part of. Activities range from sitting experiencing an athletic home game, attending SOURCE, having your picture taken with the Wildcat statue, and walking through the Japanese Garden.

For every 18 traditions you complete you can earn lapel pins. When you have completed 72 traditions you earn an medallion!  Staff and faculty can get the traditions they have completed signed off by taking their Traditions Keeper books to the Office of Student Involvement anytime!

For staff and faculty we have inserts for your Traditions Keepers book that will give options to replace student traditions with staff and faculty traditions.  Stop by the HR Front Desk in the first floor of Mitchell Hall and get your insert or pick up a Traditions Keeper book if you don't have one yet!
