CENTRAL THEATRE ENSEMBLE PRESENTS

RICHARD DIAMOND, PRIVATE DETECTIVE:

THE POISE MAGAZINE STORY

And

OUR MISS BROOKS:

THE MAGIC CHRISTMAS TREE

Plus

A bubbly concoction of curtain warmer and intermezzo musical numbers from a bygone era.

This quarter the Central Theatre Ensemble has an evening of song, dance, and drama. As we cope with the stay at home order, we at Central Theatre Ensemble strive to bring you theatre in new ways. Come see what we are up to. First is a Richard Dimond Private Detective adventure, The Poise Magazine Story, where the well-known 1950’s Richard Diamond agrees to help his friend Swifty Miller keep tabs on a magazine company bookkeeper, but the job rapidly becomes more than he bargained for. This program was adapted by Theatre Arts professor Michael Smith. Next up is Our Miss Brooks - The Magic Christmas Tree. This story brings you the familiar 1950’s character of the schoolteacher Miss Brooks. Connie is resigned to spending to Christmas with just her landlady Margaret's cat. But after buying a tree from a small boy, she falls asleep and dreams about being surrounded by all her friends. Then a Christmas miracle occurs. Come join us for our seasons production of virtual theatre. These adaptions of the 1950’s radio shows are sure to bring a smile to your quarantine.

This program is Family Friendly.
