To help students understand the repercussions of distracted and drunken driving, CWU Campus Activities and Wellness Center have teamed up with the national program UNITE to bring the Arrive Alive Tour to Central Monday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the SURC East Patio. The event is free, and all students are encouraged to take this opportunity to educate themselves.
The program will include a high-tech simulator, impact video and a number of other resources to show students the damage texting and/or drinking and driving can cause. Because drivers under 20 years old have the highest proportion of distraction-related fatal car crashes and text more than any other age group, this program is extremely important for the CWU community to participate in.
