Program Overview

Accounting professionals can be found in nearly every industry and organization that participate in commerce. From small start-ups and niche industries to large conglomerates and government agencies, Accountants ensure the compliance and integrity of an organization’s financial transactions. It is no surprise that growth in the accounting industry remains constant and that demand for Accounting professionals remains high.

Our program can be tailored to the working professional or accounting students looking to start their careers. There are three specializations: Taxation, Financial Analytics, and Information Systems.

  • Prepares accounting professionals with quality education, strong ethics, innovative thinking, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Broaden your skills in accounting and provide in-depth analytical and problem solving skills, as well as advanced knowledge of general business principles.
  • Develop the leadership skills needed to successfully manage teams in accounting organizations or departments.

Individuals are able to stack their credits from graduate certificates in either professional accounting or professional tax practice.

Admission requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by the time of matriculation or enrollment with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in all coursework attempted in at least the last 90 quarter (60 semester) hours of recognized academic work.  

  • Completion of Intermediate Accounting Series (ACCT 350, 351, 352) with a C or higher in each.

  • Completion of one foundation tax course, the content of which is similar to ACCT 303 or 340, with a C or higher.

  • Evidence of English language proficiency for ESL students (such as TOEFL)

 

The MPA graduate tuition fee of $450 per credit.  MPA is 45 credits making total program tuition $20,250
