Beyond Business: Safer Spaces I - May 4 at 6 pm

  • This workshop stems from the Safer Space initiative to understand the multi-faceted aspects of the LGBTQ+ community. Here, students will have the opportunity to participate in interactive exercises, discussions, and sustained dialogue that provide understanding about the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, students will get a chance to increase their understanding about the terminology, privilege, and social constructs of gender. By providing students with the necessary information and tools, we contribute to providing CWU with ways in which they can become better allies and promote an inclusive campus community.

 

Articulating Your Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities to Potential Employers - May 4 at 6 pm

  • It’s one thing to relate in your resume what you did in previous roles, quite another to articulate how, why, where, when, and for whom you did it, and to quantify the benefiting results you provided. Learn how to write strong bulleted descriptive statements that will make you stand out from other applicants for even the most competitive positions.

 

Tips on Conducting a Virtual InterviewMay 5 at 4 pm

  • Most interviews are occurring online currently and this workshop will provide tips and strategies on how to adjust to interviewing online.  Examples are: preparing your interview environment, tech tips, and a couple of advantages to online interviewing.

 

Launch Conference - May 7 from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

  • The purpose of the Launch Conference is to connect our graduating seniors to professionals in their area of study both to network and get advice on transitioning into workforce.
