CWU Business Students Visit Fisher Investments

On November 10th and 11th, several CWU Business students had the opportunity to go to Camas, WA and Portland, OR to visit Fisher Investments and Portland State University.

Students had the opportunity to tour Fisher Investments, their biggest facility, to learn about the firm. Their facility is unique in many ways. For starters, Fisher sits on 50 acers and enclosed by beautiful trees and landscape. Both of the buildings are complete mirrors of each other from offices, bathrooms, to the paintings hanging on the walls. The students were able to see the environment that keeps Fisher Investments competitive in the market.

While visiting, the students had the opportunity to have lunch with two CWU alumni, Sam Stewart and Chris Vogt. The alumni were able to share their experience and their day-to-day tasks. This visit was a great opportunity for our students to network with successful Alums.

The students also had the chance to visit Portland State University on Saturday, visit the local farmer's market and tour the Karl Miller Center that, houses the School of Business Administration. Nathan Zuidema, one of the students that attended the trip, is planning to attend Portland State University and earn a Master of Science in Finance.
