About our BS in Business Administration  

CWU Business offers a traditional business degree with specializations in Business Analytics, Finance, General Business, Human Resource Management, Leadership and Management, Marketing Management, Personal Financial Planning, and Supply Chain Management. This structure provides you with a broad understanding of all elements needed to make a business successful. After these introductory courses, you can choose your specialization. A specialization will help you set yourself apart from others in the industry.

Business Administration Degree Pathways:

Data is critical in helping companies maintain a competitive advantage by producing data-driven insights for decision-makers. You will work with real-world business data and analyze it using descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive business analytics methods. Our program utilizes the latest business analytics software to manage data, develop visualization, and perform statistical and machine learning analyses.

Finance builds on the business core and focuses on decision making in three interrelated areas:

With a specialization in Finance, you will learn about the acquisition and management of funds by businesses, governments, and individuals. Our finance curriculum provides the theoretical foundations and analytical skills to understand corporate financing and investing decisions, financial markets, security valuation, portfolio management, and financial planning.

Personal Financial Planning (PFP) prepares you to become fee-for service professional planner. In this career you will work with families and individuals developing specific budget, asset management, and related planning processes. The program design and content also meets educational requirements to sit for the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards, Inc. accreditation examination.

A supply chain is the series of organizations that help to deliver a product or service to consumers. Those involved in supply chain management play a critical role in understanding demand and delivering products and services.  

Throughout this program, you will gain an understanding of the systematic, integrated nature of the creation and delivery of goods and services. You will be able to solve industry problems using concepts from other business administration courses and apply them to your specialized major.
