Budget Allocation Request Sessions & Budget Summit Presentations

The 2021 Budget Summits will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, April 28th and 29th, 2021. Selected Division VPs will present an in-depth overview of their division's budget including a brief rationale for any Budget Allocation Requests submitted for FY22. The College Deans will also present an overview of their college's budget during the Summits.

Each Budget Unit will be asked to submit a Budget Report and Core Distribution Form.  All reports will be upload be to the Budget Summit website (below).  Each Budget Unit will also determine if there is a need for additional funds and if so, they will develop a Budget Allocation Request.  The Budget Allocation Request must be approved by the Division VP prior to submission to the Budget Allocation Subcommittee (BASC).

Upon receiving the Budget Allocation Increase Request form and an optional pre-recorded Budget Allocation Increase Request presentation (5-8 minutes maximum), BASC will publish these on the Budget Summit website (below) for public consumption and feedback from students, faculty and staff to provide BASC information from which to make funding recommendations to PBAC.  The recommendations will proceed through committees (see flow chart) ending with a recommendation to the President for a final decision.

All summits and review sessions are open to the campus community - we encourage you to attend!

Below are the non-ASL FY22 Budget Allocation Requests and Emeritus President Gaudino's decision based on recommendations from the University Community, the President's Budget Advisory Committee (PBAC) and Cabinet.  Many of these requests were to reinstate open positions that were pulled back in FY21 as part of the University's efforts to reduce the state allocated funds (149 funds) during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Some of the positions that have been permanently funded are still empty.  These budgets will be partially funded in FY22 with the full funding to resume in FY23 or when the positions are estimated to fill.
