How to Become a Biology Major

In order to gain admission to and successfully complete the Biology Major, students must:

1)  Meet with an advisor and file an application to the major:  I  Major Declaration

Please meet with an advisor early in your career to begin planning your program of study.  A formal Application to the Biology Major must be submitted with your advisor's approval and no later than beginning of your Junior year.

2)  Complete and File a Course of Study:

B.A. and B.S. Major Course Requirements and Worksheets

 Minor Declaration I Other Forms

A Course of Study is the list of courses you complete towards your major following your specialization requirements. Please see the CWU Online Catalog for co- and pre-requisites for courses in your plan.

While it is best to use the Course of Study Worksheet each quarter for your planning, your official Course of Study must be approved and signed by you, your Biology Advisor, and the Biological Sciences Department Chair one year prior to graduation.
