Application for Restricted ATP

Please complete the form below to request a credit evaluation for the Restricted ATP (R-ATP).  Only the courses listed on the .pdf document below qualify for the R-ATP.  Please note that the courses highlighted in green must have been taken at Central Washington University in order to qualify for the R-ATP credit review process.  In addition, no applicable course with a grade of “S” may be counted toward the total credit hours.  Please allow a few weeks for processing after submission.   CWU Aviation will email you a .pdf attachment of your signed certificate as well as send an official hard copy by regular mail for your records.  This is the first step in the certification process.  You will then be responsible for taking all credit-related and any other required documents to your local FAA office (or in some cases your employer) to complete the process to receive your actual ATP certificate from the FAA.

Important Notes

  • To apply, you must be a graduate of the CWU Aviation program within the last five (5) years prior to the date of application.
  • Students who have attended more than one flight school need to obtain documentation of their coursework from each institution separately. For example, if you attended Big Bend Community College’s aviation program, you would need to contact BBCC and request that they provide a document certifying your applicable BBCC credit hours. The FAA does not authorize Central to certify credit hours from other institutions even if transfer credit was given.  The transfer credits do count toward graduation requirements, but not the CWU portion of the R-ATP.

If you have any questions about the R-ATP application process, please contact us via email.
