Major: BFA Graphic Design Class of: 2019
Home Town: Snohomish, WA

BIO: Born in California, raised in Snohomish, Washington. I spent most of my formative years working with photography and a few different creative outlets. Currently Majoring in Graphic Design and working on finding my style/voice through the medium. Whenever I'm not focusing on graphic design I try to work on things that bring me happiness. There's beauty in everything, you just have to find it.

My favorite thing about CAH: “When creativity is at play, you never know what the outcome might be.”

Major: Secondary English Education Class of: 2020
Home Town: Connell, WA

BIO: Angelina Valdez is a first-generation Mexican-American college student majoring in Secondary English Education and minoring in Teaching English as a Second Language. She works as an Office Assistant for the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement and an Assistant Program Leader for the Women’s Leadership Institute. Angelina is passionate about student leadership, education for all, and intersectional feminist literature. She is a senior at CWU, will be doing her student teaching in the winter of 2020, and walking in spring of 2020 as well. Prior to this year, she was a Resident Assistant for two years, an Orientation Leader for two summers, and served on the Student Advisory Board for the College of Arts and Humanities for two years.

My favorite thing about CAH: “One of my favorite parts of the College of Arts and Humanities is the extremely talented, caring, and creative faculty and staff. Getting the chance to learn from people who's art and experiences you look up to and admire is something that a lot of people don't get the chance to do! "

Hobbies and Interests: Writing poetry, assisting in the empowerment of women and minorities, educating people, and spending quality time with family and friends.
